If you want a super portable pole, are planning on performing outside or just don’t have the right kind of space for a floor to ceiling pole then a dance Pole Stage might be for you – they are compiled of just a base and a pole but are sturdy enough to take the force of lots of different tricks without the need for a ceiling. These portable pole stages are a lot pricier than floor to ceiling poles though so are aimed at experts, instructors and performers mostly but can be used by anyone. Please see a compilation of some of the Pole Stages for sale at the moment…

It goes without saying that Xpole, the ‘leaders in Pole and Aerial Fitness’ have their own pole stage range for sale, named the X Pole X Stage. They have two versions, the X Stage Standard and the X Stage Lite…

X Pole X Stage Standard

X Pole X Stage StandardThe X Pole Stage Standard has a higher podium height than the Lite but it is still very portable (it comes with a wheeled carry case system) and is very quick to set up.

  • Overall Height: 3 metres/10′
  • Stage Height: 32cm
  • Usable Pole Height: 8’10”
  • 1600mm (5\’3\”) circular stage floor
  • Available in 40, 45 and 50mm diameter poles
  • Can buy Chrome, Brass and Stainless Steel coatings
  • Portable, easy to transport and setup – pole is in 2 parts.
  • High-stability for use without weights
  • Spinning/Static options
  • Weight (approx): 94kg/209Lbs (in carry cases)
  • Extensions available for lower poles
  • Comes with side skirts to wrap around the stage
  • Allows for the addition of ‘optional’ bar bell weights, has adjustable feet and silicone base pads.
Pros: Spinning and static options. Higher off the ground for a more professional/appealing look when performing and feels more like a stage than the Lite.
Cons: Heavier than others to carry. Less pole to work with than the Lite.

X Pole X Stage Lite X stage Lite

The X Pole X Stage Lite is very similar to the standard version but the stage is only 4 inches off the ground which gives you a lot more pole to work with.

  • Overall Height: 3 metres/10′
  • Stage Height: 10cm/4″
  • Usable Pole Height: 2.9m/9’8″
  • 1600mm (5\’3\”) circular stage floor
  • 40, 45 and 50mm diameters available
  • Available in Chrome, Brass, Stainless Steel and also Black and Pink Silicone coatings (US only)

  • Weight (approx): 94kg/209Lbs (in carry cases)
  • Ability to buy extensions if you want a shorter pole

Freestanding RPole

RPole
The freestanding RPole is made in the UK and is a lightweight and sturdy pole stage that is able to be shipped worldwide. They come in two different options – the Strada and the studio fit dependent on whether you need a safety mat or not.
  • Available in 2.2 metre and 2.5 metre heights.
  • Both 38mm and 42mm diameters are available
  • Stainless steel static pole
  • Low profile base with full size safety mat
  • Light stable design – Weighs just 29kg/64lbs (safety mat adds 6kg)
  • No tools required
  • Takes less than 60 seconds to set up
  • Travel Bags included for split pole options.
  • Maximum safe weight load is 100Kg/220lbs
(Exceeding the stated weight limit, performing doubles tricks and highly dynamic horizontal moves at the higher end of the allowed weight, will all provide excessive stress which may cause the pole to bend deform or fail)

There weren’t many reviews available for this pole but PolePassion has provided the below video to show how easy they are to set up and what they’re like to use…

Pros: Couple of different options to choose from dependent on what suits you. Really easy to set up. Easy to transport and very light to carry. Can be shipped worldwide.

Cons: Not suitable for doubles training or competitions. No spinning option. Slightly more expensive than the X Pole X Stage.
